Profile: Devdutt Pattanaik is an Indian author, mythologist, speaker and illustrator born in Mumbai. He is well known for his work on ancient scriptures in India. He completed his education at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Grant Medical College and University of Mumbai.

Writing style: Devdutt Pattanaik writes prolifically on folklore, sacred lore, parables, legends, history and fables. He has a challenging approach for the way in which ancient scriptures, rituals, symbols and stories in India have been willfully misinterpreted.
