Profile: Honore de Balzac was a French novelist, literary artist and playwright. His original name is Honore Balssa. His work of art is his novel sequence La Comedie Humaine, which offers a panorama of post-Napoleonic French life. He was born in Tours, France and died in Paris France.

Honore de Balzac is considered to be one of the finest novelists of all time who has assisted in establishing the novel in traditional form. He completed his schooling at the College des Oratoriens at Vendome. He initiated a business career as a printer and publisher, but unfortunately ran into debts. However with new mastery, he returned to writing again.

Writing style: Honore de Balzac started writing novels filled with philosophical and mystic speculations, later produced historical, humorous and gothic novels.
