Profile: Meenakshi Reddy Madhavan is an Indian writer and a blogger. She was born in Kerala, India. She completed her education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She is the daughter of N.S. Madhavan, the former IAS Officer who is also a famous Malayalam writer. Meenakshi spent her growing up years in New Delhi. She presently, lives in New Delhi with her partner and their three cats,
You Are Here, is her debut semi-autobiographical book. Sheela Reddy, her mother is a former editor of Indian Magazine Outlook. She is also a journalist and is the author of Mr. and Mrs.Jinnah: The Marriage.
The book You Are Here talks about matters related to a particular type of modern woman in India. After the debut book, she has written in addition four more novels, including a collection of short stories and two for young adults. She has not only contributed to a number of anthologies, but is also writes a range of publications for columns and essays.
Writing style: Right from writing murder mysteries and chick-lit and epics, she loves experimenting with genres and her heroines. At the age of nineteen years, she began writing her first book.
