Profile: Swati Kaushal is an Indian author and novelist, born and brought up in New Delhi. The stories she writes are based on her personal experiences. She is the author of five best-selling novels. She completed her education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Indian and her MBA degree from IIM, Calcutta. She has also worked with Nokia Mobile Phones and Nestle India Limited. She resides with her husband, children in Connecticut.
Swati Kaushal was born at a time before social media, cell phones or computers were being used. All these privations seemed devastating for her however she has good memories of her childhood, of orange bars, ice cream carts, enjoying a great time playing with her friends and most of all, reading and reading more and more to her heart’s content. She would tuck books on romances and mysteries inside her chemistry and physics textbooks, thus eliminating the chances of winning a Nobel Prize in Chemistry or Physics forever.
She finished her college education in B.A. in Economics, at Lady Shriram College in New Delhi. According to her, the best thing about being a writer is that she is able to express whatever she feels with complete freedom and share it with the readers. One of the earliest entrants in the female crime fiction genre in India was her book, Drop Dead. A Few Good Friends in the year 2017, is a novel about the way in which friendships both, endure and transform
